Women Sleuths
"A funny, fast-paced, clever, and unusual mystery that will have readers clamoring for more. Sheer delight." --Carolyn Hart

"A thoroughly delightful debut. Bright, breezy, and witty. I couldn't put it down."--Tamar Myers

The truth about what happened in 1949 went to Paul Fischer's grave... Too bad his body didn't!

Advertising copywriter Leigh Koslow doesn't pack heat--just a few extra pounds. And she doesn't go looking for trouble. When she moved into her cousin Cara's refurbished Victorian house, she wasn't planning on discovering a corpse--certainly not one that had been embalmed ten years before. But as anyone in the small Pittsburgh borough of Avalon could tell her, her cousin's house has a history attached. A history dating back to two mysterious deaths in the summer of 1949.

Someone wants Leigh and Cara out of the house--someone who has something to hide. But that someone doesn't know Leigh's impetuous cousin, and when Cara digs her heels in, Leigh looks to her old college chum, local policewoman Maura Polanski, for help. But the answers the trio find only point to more questions. Were the scandalous deaths of fifty years ago really an accident and a suicide? Or were they murder?

The nearer the women get to the truth, the more desperate someone becomes. Because some secrets are better off kept. Especially when they hit close to home!

Prologue: At a dirt airstrip on a farm in rural Georgia, a team of state and federal agents watch as a half dozen men roll away pots of trees and phony fence sections that were camouflaging the site. Seconds later a small plane, its lights out, lands and the agents sweep out from the surrounding forest and crop land.

Seventeen years after the drug bust a contract to run a huge dairy farm coupled with half a promise she can start an operation of her own lure Tracy O’Connell and her husband Eric to the farm. They had spent three miserable years hating Texas and their jobs as an agriculture extension specialist and a deputy sheriff so the vague description of the farm as being “in a little trouble” barely slowed them down as they rushed home to Georgia.

With all of their Texas bridges burned, they find that the farm in terrible shape, virtually out of business in fact, but Tracy, still clinging to her dream of running a grazing dairy gives in to the owners pleas to help her rescue what is left of the dairy. The small southern town is filled with characters both charming and scary including someone who badly wants Tracy gone. The threats begin almost immediately then one of the farm tenants is murdered and Eric, newly hired as police officer in the nearest city, is the only suspect.

The threats escalate and so does the violence. Every time Tracy thinks she has figured out what is going on, her main suspect turns up either dead or missing.

Lane Cypress is a twenty-one year old who tries to solve the case of his families mysterious illness and disappearance. After his mother calls the cops, labeling him as an intruder, he finds, Rebekah Morgan, a fearless and darkly humorous twenty-year-old filled with surprises. More than just Lane's family, his mother's employees are coming up infected with some of the symptoms (amnesia, hysteria, delirium or death) which leaves Rebekah and Lane no choice but to up the ante and embark on a mysterious adventure to uncover the truth, but end up entangled in a web of raves, car chasing, gunshots and dead-end clues.
A mind-altering detox of whose-who, in a twisted plot that has been going on for a long time.

Set in modern day Macedonia. Three perspectives :Mikal/Navah/Luca: merge in a story about an 80 year old murder and a gypsy curse. A series of love letters might hold the key, but will they reveal the mysteries of the past or the present?

Paige Atwell is completely satisfied with her suburban existence: the carpools, coffee klatches and scheduled sex night with her husband. But when her friend Karen admits to a steamy love affair, Paige is forced to reexamine her life. Is she really content? Or is she merely complacent? Then Karen is found dead in a pool of blood in her garage and Paige’s quiet life is shaken to its core. Paige doesn’t buy the accident theory Karen’s husband is spinning. And she knows that Karen’s adulterous secret could give the police the motive they need. But Paige can’t destroy her friend’s reputation and turn her into gossip fodder. She realizes her only choice is to investigate Karen’s death herself… a choice that leads her into danger, temptation and a secret so shocking that their quiet suburb will never be the same. The Secret Desires of a Soccer Mom offers us a darkly funny look at what goes on behind closed doors in the cul-de-sac.
